Located in the bustling metropolitan city of Macau, the recently launched Cha Bei introduces a sophisticated lifestyle concept that seamlessly weaves casual dining with stylish living. Cha Bei is a refreshing and contemporary space where guests can socialize, savor comfort food with a heathy twist and acquire fashionable designer goods.

On 5 January 2017, the unique lifestyle café in Macau that blends fashion, design and culture was brought to life in a launch party. “Creating Cha Bei has been a longstanding dream of mine: to bridge the gap between my love for culture, design and tea with a place for everyone to share their stories and good moments,” says founder and curator, Joanna Lui, during the launch event.

At Cha Bei, the brand celebrates each person’s individual taste and preference with a menu boasting four delectable sections: ”Healthy & Wholesome Choices,” ”Comfort Choices,” ”Communal Choices” and ”Guilty Choices.”

Inspired by Joanna’s passion for healthy eating, the café offers a wide variety of “Healthy & Wholesome Choices” prepared with nourishing ingredients, such as Cha Bei Salad with seasonal organic leaves, green mango, quinoa and toasted almonds drizzled with a coconut dressing and the Toss or Turn Handmade Noodles served with tofu, seasonal mushrooms and vegetables in a morel mushroom broth.

For a taste of home and dishes that resemble childhood favorites, the “Comfort Choices” boast enticing options like the Chicken & Couscous dish, a well-kept secret recipe of slow braised chicken meatballs with tomato concasse.

Who doesn’t like to share and try more food? Enjoy the “Communal Choices” from Cha Bei’s menu with friends and sample dishes like The Not So Traditional VAV featuring premium ingredients such as chicken, abalone, scallop, fish maw, vol-au-vent and cream sauce.

To conclude the meal at Cha Bei, indulge in the homemade artisanal desserts like the Signature Cha Bei Soufflé and theStrawberry Chiffon Cake. Other “Guilty Choices” include the special tea infused sweet treats: Earl Grey Crème with raspberry, chia seed jelly, fresh berries and OJ.
